Oak is clear coated with polyurethane and can be stained to match your decor and the ring gear painted as well. Shown is red chestnut stained oak and raw ring gear. 
 
*Note that the clock hands may change in color and shape slightly. If there is a particular color for the hands youd like please include this with the order. 
*Raw options are bare metal that has been degreased, clean, and either wire wheeled or sanded.
